Congratulations to every one for making Hot Mikado such a great show,
from the production team to the principals and chorus,
to the stage crew, props and wardrobe mistress,
to our Box Office during show week,
and finally to all the helpers who gave up their time to come along and
sell programs, raffle tickets and ice cream, and generally look after our audience,
without these people we could not have put on a show at the Church Hill Theatre,
thanks also to the Smycms Committee for pulling it all together.
We’re looking forward to next years production of Bugsy Malone, are you?

Smycms are proud to announce our show for April 2010
will be
BUGSY MALONE
Book by Alan Parker. Music and Lyrics by Paul Williams
New York , 1929; a war rages between two rival gangsters, Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. Dan is in possesion of a new and deadly weapon, the dreaded ’splurge gun’. As the custard pies fly, Bugsy Malone, an all round nice guy, falls for Blousey Brown, a singer at Fat Sam’s speakeasy. His designs on her are disrupted by the seductive songstress Tallulah who wants Bugsy for herself. Like the film, this wild and wacky musical includes a big kids dream come true: a non-violent gangster war fought with ’splurge blasters’ which spew forth silly string!. It’s a thoroughly charming concept resulting in delightfully messy fun.
